This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is to obtain Professional Architectural/Engineering (A/E) services for the design and construction oversight of renovations and improvements at the Dayton Correctional Institution (DCI). DCI is approximately thirty years old and is located just south of Dayton, Ohio. It has a capacity of approximately 1,000 female inmates. DCI Boilers and Controls Phase 4 project (DRC-23L055): Project is planned be the last phase of several years of capital projects to provide HVAC upgrades at DCI. In Phase 4, DCI will have all boilers and controls upgraded and/or replaced. In addition, the existing AHU's in Building A and B are planned to be replaced due age and deterioration of these units. Services include design/engineering and related permitting for construction of new / upgraded HVAC systems and controls. DCI Kitchen Upgrades (DRC-23L108): Provide new refrigeration systems for the freezers and coolers in the DCI kitchen area and replace the serving lines. Services include design/engineering and related permitting for construction of new / upgraded refrigeration systems, related controls, and new serving lines. The development of the POR will include a comprehensive survey/field investigation of the existing site and surrounding areas to evaluate the site conditions in relation to the project scope described above, and in relation to the project budgets. The project scope will then be evaluated, prioritized, and defined/redefined to align with available project funds. It is ODRC intent to award multiple A/E contracts through this selection process. The intent is to award up to 3 contracts, preferably, one at each institution.
