Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Blooming Grove, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.

Separate Sealed Bids for Contract No. 2G - General Construction and Contract No. 2E - Electrical Construction for Lasser Park Senior Center. This phase generally consists of the construction of an accessible porch and decking for access to the pre-manufactured and building placed, installation of a facade on the front of the building connection into the onsite sanitary and water systems and other site improvements including, but not limited to the furnishing and installing of the new electrical service and equipment serving the building. This project consists of two separate contracts for compliance with Wicks Law and generally consists of the construction of an access porch and deck for access to the pre- manufactured and building onsite and the electrical service and equipment serving the building. The Contract Documents, consisting of Advertisement for Bids, Instructions to Bidders, Bidder's Checklist, Bid, Bid Bond, Statement of Surety's Intent, Agreement, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, Payment Bond, Performance Bond, Maintenance Bond, Drawings, Specifications and Addenda may be examined at the following locations: Town of Blooming Grove 6 Horton Road Blooming Grove, NY 10914 D&B Engineers and Architects, D.P.C. 330 Crossways Park Drive Woodbury, NY 11797-2015 Complete digital sets of Bidding Documents, drawings and specifications, will be available on August 25, 2023, and may be obtained online as a download at the following website: dbea.biddyhq.com under 'public projects'. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of the Contract Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the issuing office. All bidders must obtain a set of the Contract Documents and All Addenda. Each Bid must be accompanied by a certified or bank cashier's check made payable to OWNER, or a Bid Bond issued by a surety licensed to conduct business in the state where the Project is located and having a Best Rating of A- or better from A.M. Best Company and named in the current list of "Companies Holding Certificates of Authority as Sureties on Federal Bonds and as Acceptable Reinsuring Companies" as published in Circular 570 (amended) by the Financial Management Service, Surety Bond Branch, U.S. Department of the Treasury, in an amount not less than five percent of the amount of the Bid submitted. The list may be ordered from the Government Printing Office Bookstore, 26 Federal Plaza, Room 110, New York, NY 10278, (212) 264-3825. Each Bidder must complete and submit with their bid the "Iranian Investment Activities Certification" provided in the Bid Form in compliance with General Municipal Law 103-g, Iranian Energy Sector Divestment. Each Bidder must complete and submit with their Bid the "Certification of Compliance with New York State Labor Law Section Two Hundred One-G" provided in the Bid Form regarding the implementation of a written policy addressing sexual harassment prevention in the workplace. The Bidder to whom the OWNER proposes to award the Contract will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds and the necessary insurance certificates as prescribed in the General Conditions and the Supplementary Conditions upon the execution of the Agreement within ten (10) days of the Notice of Award. Bidders are required to execute a non-collusive bidding certification required by Section 103-d of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York. The Town of Blooming Grove is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to the conditions of employment to be observed and the minimum wage rates to be paid under the contracts. Bidders are also required to comply with the anti-discrimination provisions of Sections 290-301 of the Executive Law of the State of New York. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all of the Bids received, to readvertise for Bids, to abandon the project, to waive any or all informalities in any Bid received and to accept any proposal which the OWNER decides to be for the best interest of the OWNER. Pre-Bid Conference (a) There shall be no formal pre-bid conference. (b) Bidders wishing to make arrangements to see the site may do so through the contact on the advertisement. DESCRIPTION OF WORK A. The work to be completed under Contract 2 - Entry Porch, Deck, and Sitework includes, but may not be limited to, construction of the proposed west elevation thin stone rainscreen finish, composite deck footings, elevated walkways and deck including foundations and substructure, framing, composite decking and guardrail systems, front porch (foundation, slabs, railings, and roof structure), aluminum handrails, concrete stairs, ramps and sidewalks, pipe railings under air conditioners, interior, exterior and emergency lighting, gutters & downspouts, exterior EIFS finish at basement, concrete equipment pads, and all sitework upgrades, protection, grading, drainage, utilities, driveways, , electrical service, power and lighting, including new service, switchgear and panelboards, domestic hot and cold water systems, sanitary drainage systems etc., and all accessories and appurtenances, as shown on the Contract Drawings, specified herein and as required for a complete and operable installation. B. The work also includes earthwork, final grading and stabilization and temporary site stabilization/ restoration as shown on the Contract Drawings. A. All components, appurtenances, accessories, pipes, valves, conduit required for a complete and operational system shall be included in the work of this contract to provide a complete installation for startup, commissioning, training and be ready to be placed into service upon receipt of approvals.
