Site work for a civil project in Berea, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The selected Design-Builder will develop construction documents and estimates for construction, means and methods for construction and will construct the Project. It is anticipated that the Design-Builder will be performing the majority of the work via selfperformed work, which will be achieved through a competitive process. The Design-Builder shall familiarize themselves with the ''Design-Assist'' process which will likely be utilized for the Project. Site amenities including trails, bridges, boardwalks and fishing platforms may be incorporated where appropriate to complement the restoration as funding becomes available. Cleveland Metroparks, its Stakeholders, and the Design-Builder will work collaboratively to execute the Project with a focus on design quality and workmanship, cost, and adherence to the Project schedule. Written questions must be submitted via electronically by Monday, September 25, 2023 by 5:00 p.m. (EDT). Construction Commencement Early 2025 Construction Complete Late 2025 Cleveland Metroparks reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to negotiate or to reject any and all Statements and parts of any and all Statements and waive all technicalities. Cleveland Metroparks is seeking a Design-Builder to provide professional design and construction services for the Baldwin Creek Low-Head Dam Removal and Restoration Project ("Project") in the Mill Stream Run Reservation. Funding to support the Project has been awarded by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency Water Resource Restoration Sponsor Program ("WRRSP") The Project will restore and reverse damage from manmade structures that have significantly impaired this stretch of Baldwin Creek. This Project will address the major sources of impairment as listed in both the Nonpoint Source Implementation Strategy (NPS-IS) and Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District's stormwater master plan by removing the existing low head dam on Baldwin Creek, restoring +/- 510lf of the creek to stabilize the banks and allow for better floodplain connection, and removing structures/impervious surfaces within the floodplain and on the property. The existing low head dam is an impediment to natural flow, sediment transport, fish passage, and macroinvertebrate populations in Baldwin Creek. The Design-Builder will be responsible for design, permitting, and development of construction documents; as well as due diligence including survey, geotechnical evaluations, historical and cultural resource management, and stream and field evaluations. Additionally, the Design-Builder will be responsible for construction activities including but not limited to, construction oversight, site access, stream restoration, floodplain, and wetland creation, building demolition and site restoration.
