Renovation of a water / sewer project in Carbondale, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
This project involves replacement of one ninety-degree iron pipefitting and one section of iron pipe, approximately five feet long. Pipe and fitting are both 20" in size. Connection type is mechanical joint. This project is also subject to the State of Illinois Job Works Program Act and the Illinois Works Apprentice Initiative. Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820ILCS 130/1-12). The Contract shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder complying with the provisions of this Invitation for Bids. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informality or technicality in any proposal in the interest of the City. The General Conditions and the City of Carbondale's Policy for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise and/or Workforce Participations Goals in Contracts are required to be submitted with the Bid. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days subsequent to the opening of bids without consent of the City of Carbondale.
