The Slave Lake Airport Services Commission is seeking proposals from qualified aviation consulting firms with proven expertise in supporting regional and community airports for the preparation of a 20-year Airport Master Plan for Slave Lake Airport. Utilizing the 2003 Area Structure Plan and the updated 2012 version as a basis, proponents are required to propose a scope of work that addresses the following key objectives, including all supporting research required to inform comprehensive and accurate analysis. This shall include a comprehensive approach to stakeholder and community engagement. The tasks described below represent minimum requirements / areas of interest for Airport Staff and the Airport Commission. Proponents may propose additional tasks that they feel will contribute to the success of the Project. Note: 2 items listed in the deliverables are to be quoted as an option and listed separately. The Bidder shall state in the Proposal the time within which they expect to be able to complete the Project. The Consultant shall schedule their operations to ensure completion of the project by April 18, 2024. The following will apply with respect to Liquidated Damages and the penalty of $500 per day in the event the Work is incomplete as of April 18, 2024. Contract Award By: October 12, 2023
Project Initiation Meeting: Week of October 23, 2023 The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. The Airport Commission reserves the right to award the Project to the Proponent that, in its opinion, will provide the best overall outcomes and value for the Airport. The lowest submitted financial proposal shall not necessarily be the successful proposal. The Airport Commission reserves the right to cancel the Project should the proposals not be in the best interest of the Airport Commission.
