It is the Intent and Purpose of These Contract Documents to Provide for Improvements to the Existing Sanitary Sewer Collection System. Contractor to Perform All Work as Indicated. This Project Will Be Funded by Twdb. This Contract Shall Provide for the Necessary Labor, Equipment, Tools, Materials, and All Other Related Construction for the Proposed Project. SUMMARY OF WORK The Contractor shall rehabilitate approximately 12,947 linear feet of 6 inch diameter sanitary sewer line by pipe bursting with 8 inch DR-11 (Class 160) HDPE sewer line, all in accordance with the plans and specifications. The Contractor shall rehabilitate approximately 7,264 linear feet of 8 inch diameter sanitary sewer line by pipe bursting with 10 inch DR-11 (Class 160) HDPE, all in accordance with the plans and specifications. The Contractor shall provide all bypass pumping as directed by the Engineer. The Contractor shall remove and replace 43 manholes as shown on plans and per details. The Contractor shall install 2 new manholes as shown on plans and per details. The Contractor shall remove all existing 6 inch sanitary sewer cleanouts and install a new 48 inch fiberglass manhole at the end of the line, all in accordance with the plans and specifications. The Contractor shall conduct pre and post installation TV inspection of the sewer lines, all in accordance with the plans and specifications. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than 5% of the total bid amount, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and execute the required bonds within ten days after notice of award. The successful bidder must furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond on the forms provided in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract price from a Surety or other Sureties acceptable to the Owner.
