For this project, the Contractor shall obtain and provide, without additional cost to the Town, all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, facilities, services, permits, and licenses necessary to perform the Work. SCOPE OF WORK Introduction Sustainability is a key priority for the Town of Morrisville, as documented in the Master Sustainability Plan approved by Town Council in 2022. The Town has a solar generation goal of 200kW by 2026. Rooftop solar PV arrays will be installed on the Town of Morrisville Town Hall building located at 100 Town Hall Drive, as well as the Morrisville Aquatics & Fitness Center at 1301 Morrisville Parkway. Additionally, the array will be integrated with the Smart Morrisville initiative through the Town's Open Data Portal with application programming interface (API) offering the community an opportunity to view energy production in real-time. This project further demonstrates the Town's commitment to sustainability and renewable energy generation, in particular. The purpose of this bid is to solicit quotes to design and install the solar arrays, which will be sized to the Duke Energy peak demand threshold. Hardware You are bidding on the installation of solar panels including the wire, conduit, and all other electrical components required for system operation. The system is required to generate up to the max demand allowed by Duke Energy. Please find a Duke Energy bills for May 2023 in the bid package. Utility data for both facilities has been included as part of the invitation to bid. Electrical design drawings stamped by the PV system engineer are required. In addition, a structural engineering assessment with stamped documentation to ensure roof is capable of supporting system load is required. The acquisition of permits is an expected responsibility of the selected vendor. Note: Because it is a Town project, there is no charge for the building permits. The project requires the contractor to submit all the required documentation and data to the utility company for interconnection. The Town Hall project has a set-aside Duke Energy rebate which may require additional documentation for rebate execution. Please find attached the 'Owner Req ToM' document specific to solar, including the requirement of an API (application programming interface) through Solar Edge inverters or equivalent. Please complete the 'Solar Quote Parameters' document which is also required. Solar panel capacity is sufficient to accommodate the total power coming into the building. Training This project includes the training of up to six Town employees on the use of the system. Training is required within 14 days of when the system is commissioned. Warranties The following minimal warranty is required on each of the following system components: o 12-year product warranty on modules o 30-year power output warranty on modules o 12-year warranty on inverters o 5 years on the workmanship of installed components If extended warranties are available, please provide options as an alternate within the bid, including incremental cost.
