Remodeling and renovation of a military facility in Anchorage, Alaska. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.
Project Description / Purpose. The Defense Health Agency recognizes that the 12 passenger elevators (7 Traction, 5 Hydraulic) in Building 5955 at the 673rd Medical Group, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson AK have exceeded their life expectancy and need to be replaced to meet current codes and standards. The 27-year-old elevators have provided a lengthy service duration but are proving that replacement is needed to provide performance and convenience at par with contemporary equipment and systems. The new elevators will be faster and provide more efficient and reliable service to Building 5955 occupants. The Government is considering a single “turn-key,” performance-based project in the facility, that may include minor maintenance and system adjustments, along with small repairs encountered during equipment and component installation. The Government is open and willing to consider any “outside-the-box” solutions to problems with proper justification. But not limited to please review the specifications for more information.
