The Project is located on the corner of San Vicente Road and Gabilan Drive and is described as follows: In general, the Project consists of the conversion of the existing potable water irrigation service at Veteran's Park to recycled water irrigation service. Work includes; removal of irrigation backflow device, cage, and concrete pad, removal of pipes and pipe stubs, removal of an existing drinking fountain and cap potable water line, replace broken valve box cover, install non-potable water warning signs, install water meter box, meter, and service line, install new backflow prevention device and cage, install new recycled water service connection, replace quick coupler covers, install irrigation turf rotor head, install irrigation head shrub spray purple cap, install drinking water fountain and PVC potable water line, minor turf seeding, and related work. The Project must be fully completed within 60 calendar days from the start date set forth in the Notice to Proceed. City anticipates that the Work will begin on or about February 5, 2024, but the anticipated start date is provided solely for convenience and is neither certain nor binding. This Project requires a valid California contractor's license for the following classification(s): Class A. Bidders that contact other City Personnel or City Council members after the City releases the Notice Inviting Bids and through the evaluation period may be disqualified from consideration. The bid security must guarantee that within ten days after City issues the Notice of Potential Award, the successful bidder will execute the Contract and submit the payment and performance bonds, insurance certificates and endorsements, and any other submittals required by the Contract Documents and as specified in the Notice of Potential Award. Performance and Payment Bonds. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the Contract Price, as further specified in the Contract Documents.
