Demolition, site work and renovation of a fire / police facility in Fort Pierce, Florida. Completed plans call for the demolition of a fire / police facility; for the renovation of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
Fire Station #9 Concrete Renovations Prior to bidding, inspect site and take into consideration any omissions, underground utilities, or other items affecting the installation of paving, drainage, and utilities. Should unmarked or incorrectly marked utilities or other items be encountered during construction, notify Construction Manager immediately. 2. Prior to commencement of demolition and concrete replacement, Subcontractor shall video existing surfaces and submit to Construction Manager. 3. All materials and workmanship shall be in accordance with all applicable City, County, State and Federal Regulations, Codes, and Ordinances, including OSHA and FDOT Specifications, latest edition unless otherwise authorized by the Engineer in Writing. 4. No field changes or deviations from design shall be made without prior written approval of the Engineer of Records. 5. Demolition and off-haul of all concrete debris is included in this scope of work. 6. Control joint layout shall be submitted by the Subcontractor as a shop drawing to the engineer of record for approval. 7. All work shall comply with the American Concrete Institute (PRC-330). 8. This scope of work includes removal & restoration of concrete washout areas. 9. Plan for a total of two mobilizations, one for front and one for rear of Fire Stations so not to impede on daily Fire Station Operations. Access in and out of Fire Stations cannot be fully blocked at any time. Coordination will be made daily with fire station personnel to ensure the scope of work does not impede any of the fire department operations. 10. All areas disturbed by construction shall be restored to pre-construction conditions or better. All existing signage, pavement markings, above ground appurtenances, etc. shall be restored in kind. This includes any sod replacement. 11. All concrete shall develop a 28-day compressive strength of 3,000 PSI. 12. This scope will implement erosion and sedimentation controls in accordance with the drawings and specifications. 13. All forming, spacing and finishing for all concrete shown to be replaced is included. 14. All excavation, backfill and prep work including compaction. Areas where concrete is to be replaced shall be kept free of water. 15. All reinforcing shall be furnished and installed in this scope of work. 16. Include all receiving, unloading and placement of materials
