A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The Broadband Infrastructure Improvements at Sterling Correctional Facility and Limon Correctional Facility project will enable the Department of Corrections to utilize telehealth to improve health outcomes of the persons residing in the correctional facilities. This will improve the opportunities to provide other support services to better meet the social, health and educational needs of the population. Included in this project is providing new single mode broadband fiber and all associated components, inclusive of new pathways, switches, panels, and wi-fi items, throughout two Department of Corrections facilities. The design/build project budget of $2,059,446, is grant funded and includes all design, permitting, management, improvements, utility upgrades, equipment, labor, for both the Sterling Correctional Facility, 2101 CO-61, Sterling, Colorado, located in Logan County and at the Limon Correctional Facility, 49090 CO-71, Limon, Colorado, Lincoln County. All improvements associated with this project must be completed by 16 May 2024 The scope of services will include assistance to the State during the process of design, construction, and warranty period. Specific tasks to be performed by the Design/Build Contractor (D/B) include those generally performed by the D/B construction community where the Designer is also the Contractor. The renovation project will provide and install new single mode broadband fiber and all associated components, inclusive of new pathways, switches, panels, and wi-fi items, throughout two Department of Corrections correctional facilities. The design/build grant funded project budget of $2,059,446 includes all design, permitting, management, improvements, utility upgrades, equipment, labor, for both the Sterling Correctional Facility, 2101 CO-61, Sterling, Colorado and at the Limon Correctional Facility, 49090 CO-71, Limon, Colorado. This project will be subject to State Prevailing Wage and Apprenticeship Certification All improvements associated with this project at both locations must be completed by 16 May 2024. A warranty period of two (2) years will be required for all design/build project improvements associated with this contract.
