Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Kuujjuaq, Quebec. Design plans call for the construction of a 6,100-square-foot, two-story above grade municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; 4,600-square-foot, two-story above grade, eight-room multi-residential development; and multi-residential development.
Construction of Kativik Ilisarniliriniq (KI) Transit Offices to provide accommodation and work place for owner's employees who have to travel to Numavik for short periods in each of fourteen communities. These two-story buildings will have to house up to eight bedrooms with full integrated bathroom, washroom, workstations, a collaborative work space, a meeting room, a kitchen, a living room and/or rest area. The approximative area of the Transit Offices is approximately 565 m2. The estimated budget for the construction of the Transit Offices is approximately $12.5 million. The project also provides for the construction of residential buildings for teaching staff consisting of bedrooms and necessary utilities. The surface area of these two-story buildings will be equal to 425m2, the budget for their construction being approximately $6 million. Note. The stated project parameters and value are provided for one of fourteen facilities planned for construction. TIMELINE: Due to funding this project was put on hold by the Quebec government. There are no plans for construction at this time. Further update early to mid-2026.
