The City of Mercer Island has determined that the use of the Job Order Contracting system benefits the public by providing an effective means of reducing total lead-time, facilitating collaboration between the Contractor and design team, and reducing cost for public works projects. Through the use of Contract Construction Task Catalog(R) and Job Orders, time consuming, costly aspects of traditional public works processes can be eliminated.
