2232-2023-PR-00012 Providence Tysons West Wastewater Pump Station To construct a wastewater pumping station in Tysons West. 8608 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, VA 22182 Tax Map ID #: 0291 01 0011 The new Tysons West 25 MGD Wastewater Pumping Station will convey flow from the rapidly growing Tysons Area to the Fairfax County Noman M. Cole Pollution Control Plant as indicated in the FAIRFAX COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN, 2017 Edition AREA II Tysons Urban Center, Amended through 2-23-2021 Areawide Recommendations: Public Facilities Page 96. The new pump station will replace the adjacent existing pump station which will be removed. Demolition at the pump station site is substantially complete. The 70% design level submittals for the pump station were submitted and preparation for permit submittals is underway. Gravity sewer 70% design is underway. Force main alignment surveys continue. The new pump station will be located in the northern part of the Tysons area in a low-lying area in the vicinity of the Spring Hill Metro Station near the existing pump station. The new pump station building will be a state-of the-art facility with energy efficient pumps, odor and noise control, and emergency back-up power. The building will be designed to fit into the community with appropriate architectural treatment.
