The City of Auburn is situated in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains approximately 35 miles northeast of Sacramento. Auburn Municipal Airport (or the Airport) is situated 3.5 miles north of the city center at an elevation of 1,536 feet above mean sea level (MSL). The Airport is a 285-acre general aviation facility, owned and operated by the City of Auburn, serving the City of Auburn and surrounding areas in El Dorado, Nevada, and Placer Counties The city requires periodic architectural and engineering services for the Auburn Airport. T he city does not have experienced or sufficient staff to perform these services as required. T he services rendered will be based on an on-call request through the issuance of task orders, which will specify the nature of the work that is required. Consultant will be contacted by phone or e-mail and should be prepared to give estimated project costs and completion schedules. Some of the ongoing airport improvements include the assessment, maintenance and upgrading of existing pavements as well as construction of new pavements, terminal building replacement, runway extension, airport master plan update, airport layout plan update, and other improvements as needed. The consultant may be asked to provide architectural and engineering services for these airport projects. Certain airport projects are eligible for state and/or federal funding by the California Department of T ransportation-Aeronautics Division (Caltrans) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Each individual project is subject to being granted funding by Caltrans and/or FAA. As such, individual projects may or may not be undertaken throughout the anticipated term of this contract, depending on specific funding authorizations. Question Deadline 09/29/2023
