Exeter Township (Berks County) is accepting bids for the COLLECTION AND TRANSPORTATION OF RECYCLABLE MATERIALS for a five (5) year term. This contract may, at the discretion of the Township, be renewed for additional years on the terms, conditions, and price as proposed. Each bid must be on a form provided by the Township in the Bid Package, which is available at the Township Building. Bids should be in a sealed opaque envelope and marked "Bid for the collection and transportation of recyclable materials," as appropriate. All bids must be accompanied by bid bond in a form satisfactory to the Township in the amount of 10% of the bid total. A Performance Bond, as calculated considering the amount of the contract and option years will be required. The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to reject any and all applications. The contract will be awarded to the qualified and responsible bidder stating the highest fee to be returned to the Township or the lowest cost. The Township, in its sole discretion, may determine any part of the bid price is unreasonable and reserves the right to then reject the bidder's entire bid.
