Site work for a water / sewer project in Hamilton, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Furnishing of all necessary permits, labor, material, and services necessary for: Contract 23-32, Firehouse 16-Inch Water Main Relocation (the "Project"), as more fully described in the Contract Documents prepared by City of Hamilton (Design Professional"). Bids will not be accepted after this time. Subject to the right of the Owner to reject any or all bids, the Owner will award contracts to the bidder(s) submitting the lowest and best responsible bid(s). Any questions must be received by the Owner through e-mail no later than 2:00 pm, local time, on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 in order to provide an addendum to all plan holders. In general, the improvements on which proposals are requested will be as described below: Installation of 330 lineal feet of 16" ductile iron water main, installation of 1 fire hydrant, removal of 200 lineal feet of 16" cast iron water main, and other appurtenances necessary to complete the project. All work and materials shall conform to the 2010 Ohio Department of Transportation Construction & Material Specifications, including supplemental specifications and standard construction drawings except as modified by the plans and the following project specifications. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the form of either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid (including all add alternates) or a certified check, cashier's check, or an irrevocable letter of credit in an amount equal to 10% of the bid (including all add alternates), as described in the Instructions to Bidders. This is an Ohio Prevailing Wage project. No Bidder may withdraw its bid within sixty (60) days after the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities in bids, to reject any or all bids, and to conduct such investigation as necessary to determine the lowest and best responsible bidder(s). The City of Hamilton reserves the right to schedule the work to the best interest of the City. However, scheduling will be done to progress the work by areas, if possible. Except as otherwise required for the safety or protection of persons, the Work, or property at the site or adjacent thereto, and except as otherwise indicated in the Contract Documents, all Work at the site shall be performed during regular working hours and the Contractor will not permit overtime work or the performance of Work on Saturday, Sunday or any City holiday without City's written consent given after prior written notice to City. The Substantial Completion Date for Contract 23-32 is 11/22/2023, as stated in the Owner-Contractor Agreement, and shall be defined by the following milestones: All proposed water main piping shall be installed, tested and tie-ins completed. All existing pipe that is to be removed shall be removed and disposed of by the contractor. All trenches and restoration shall be completed. Question Deadline 09/05/2023 02:00 PM EDT
