Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Smithville, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
***Apparent low bid from previous bid opening: Julius Kaaz Construction Co. Inc. The proposed work includes: Construction of approximately 2,300 square yards of asphalt street replacement, 1,200 linear feet of concrete curb and gutter, 800 square yards of concrete sidewalk, 55 square yards of brick sidewalk, 500 linear of 15-inch through 18-inch storm sewer, 7 storm structures, 350 linear feet of 8-inch water line, 200 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer, 17 street lights with base, traffic signs, landscaping, and all associated appurtenances. A certified or cashier's check or a bid bond in the amount of 5% shall be submitted with each proposal. The DBE Goal for this project is 10%. There is no pre-bid conference scheduled for this project. All labor used in the construction of this public improvement shall be paid a wage no less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages of work of a similar character in this locality as established by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations (Federal Wage Rate), or state wage rate, whichever is higher. The City of Smithville reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The contractornquestionnaire must be on file 7 days prior to bid opening. MO DOT - Downtown Streetscape Construction Phase 3
