Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Fort Lee, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The bids can be dropped off at the Borough Hall. POST OFFICE PARK BOROUGH OF FORT LEE BERGEN COUNTY, NEW JERSEY The Work to be performed under this contract includes the following: Base Bid The construction of various active and passive park amenities. These improvements include the construction of decorative stamped concrete sidewalk, traditional concrete sidewalk, concrete curb, ADA curb ramps, four (4) decorative landscape walls, wall mounted seating, lawn areas, and various electrical facilities, enhancements, and amenities. The project scope will also include the installation [only] of various site furniture and amenities (gazebo, trellises, benches, tables, trash receptacles, bike rack, etc.), many of which are to be procured directly by the Owner and provided to the contractor for installation. Refer to plans and specifications for more information. Alternate Bid 'A' The construction of paved parking areas and an access drive and associated concrete curbing and pavement striping. The construction of two (2) retaining walls will also be included in this alternate bid. Alternate Bid 'B' The installation of various landscaping improvements. Furnish Material for Electrical Equipment L.S. Labor and Installation for Electrical Equipment L.S. Labor and Installation for Two LED Signs L.S. Furnish Material for Gazebo Heating L.S. Labor and Installation for Gazebo Heating L.S. Labor and Installation for Light Fixtures L.S. Furnish Material for Security Cameras System L.S. Labor and Installation for Security Cameras System L.S. Furnish Material for Audio-Visual System L.S. Labor and Installation for Audio-Visual System Alternate Bid 'A' 180 Ton Hot Mix Asphalt 19M64 Base Course 130 Ton Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course 250 S.F. Retaining Wall, Location No. 1 200 S.F. Retaining Wall, Location No. 2 500 L.F. 9" x 18" Concrete Vertical Curb Alternate Bid 'B' L.S. Landscaping The Work contemplated under this Contract shall be completed by April 19, 2024. Printed copies of the plans, specification, and contract documents may be obtained upon request, in accordance with Boswell's applicable printing fees at the time of request. Each bid must be made upon the prescribed forms, furnished with the Contract Drawings and Specifications, including the non-collusion affidavit and ownership statement compliance form and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety and a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond of not less than ten (10%) percent of the amount bid and, not to exceed $20,000.00. Such checks and Bonds shall be made payable to the Owner and will be held as a Guarantee that in the event the Bid is accepted and a Contract awarded to the bidder, the Contract shall be duly executed and its performance properly secured. The successful bidder shall furnish and deliver to the Owner a performance and payment bond in the amount of 100 percent of the accepted bid amount as security for the faithful performance and payment of the Contract. Further, the successful bidder must furnish the policies or Certificates of Insurance required by the Contract. In default thereof, said checks and the amount represented thereby will be forfeited to the aforesaid Owner as liquidated damages. Bids must be accompanied, in the case of corporations not chartered in New Jersey, by proper certificate that such corporation is authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. An original and two (2) copies of the bid documents must be submitted to and be received by the Borough prior to the time and place stated in the Legal Notice to Bidders. Said bids shall be addressed to the Borough Clerk, Borough of Fort Lee, Borough Hall, 309 Main Street, Fort Lee, NJ 07024. Bid documents will not be accepted by facsimile transmission or e-mail. Any and all documents submitted to this Bid Request not received by the Borough by the time and date specified for receipt will be rejected. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 regarding equal employment opportunity, as amended. All corporations and partnerships must comply with Chapter 33, of the P.L. of 1977, regarding disclosure of partners and stockholders. Each bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder, addressed to the Owner and labeled for the POST OFFICE PARK. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of prevailing wage rates as determined by the New Jersey Department of Labor. All bids shall be irrevocable, not subject to withdrawal and shall stand available for a period of sixty (60) days. Pursuant to P.L. 2019, c.406, a contractor that is debarred from contracting with a federal government agency, along with any affiliates of the debarred contractor, is now prohibited from contracting for "public work" with any State or local government entity. The Borough reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to accept the bid from the lowest responsible bidder in accordance with applicable law.
