The RM of Great Bend No.405 is requesting bids from interested parties wishing to custom crush road gravel and stockpile the material at the pit. The pit is located on SW 1/4 26-39-10W3. It is the responsibility of the Bidder to inspect the site conditions. To schedule a site inspection, please contact Nigel Cutting, Foreman at 1-306-827-7653. The scope of the work is to crush 30,000 yds as is, no reject. 2500 yds of 2" minus. 1500 yds of 3" minus. 15,000 yds type 106 spec road gravel, sample everyday. To be crushed after October 31,2023 and to be completed by December 31,2023 Note that a penalty may apply if target is not met. The successful Bidder shall be responsible for providing equipment and labour. The fuel will be supplied by the RM. A full listing of applicable equipment to be used to completion of the gravel is required with the bid along with a copy of valid liability, third party insurance with a minimum of $5,000,000 coverage. The crush is to fully deplete the existing open pit area. The area stripped will be determined by the Municipality. No expansion of the open pit area or stripping of a new area is allowed without the prior written consent of the municipality. The RM reserves the right to access samples of the crushed gravel or have a Professional Engineer access sample, with some to be tested at the cost of the RM. The RM, reserves the right to accept or reject any or all tender, to negotiate with the Successful Bidder, split the award or to waive irregularities and omissions, if in so doing the best interests of the Municipality will be served.
