The County of Bruce, (referred to as County) is seeking a traffic signal and flashing light maintenance provider (referred to as "Contractor") to undertake services as described herein to provide complete maintenance for all signals and flashing lights. The County is seeking a qualified electrical contractor for trouble shooting and maintenance of the traffic signal system, including but not limited to the installation and maintenance of signal heads, pedestrian heads and buttons, signs, wires, grounding rods, pre-emption equipment, traffic cabinets, controllers, poles and arms. The County of Bruce has 5 (five) signalized intersections, 9 (nine) intersection pedestrian signals (IPS) and 3 (three) amber flashing beacons. Refer to Appendix 'A' attached for the location of all signalized intersections and flashing lights. It shall be understood and acknowledged that while the tender includes specific requirements and specifications, a complete maintenance service is required. Items or details not specified in the tender, but needed to complete the work shall be provided as if specified. Any omission or error or misinterpretation within the tender shall not relieve the bidder of the responsibility to fulfil those requirements or to provide complete maintenance service. Traffic signal and flashing light maintenance shall be performed annually in the spring and fall of each year. For signals under warranty, the County may prescribe a lesser level of maintenance. Tender contract shall become effective January 1, 2024 and remain in effect for a period of three (3) years until December 31, 2026.
