RFQ Advertisement Date 9/5/2023 Deadline for Written Questions 9/18/2023 @ 5:00 PM City Response To Questions (anticipated) 9/21/2023 RFQ Due Date 10/3/2023 @ 10:00 am RFQ Award TBD The City of Wilson invites architectural and engineering firms to submit their statement of qualifications to provide environmental report and professional design services for the Hominy Swamp Stream Restoration + Greenway Project. The project area is shown in Figure 1 below. The City of Wilson is in the process of being awarded funding from the FEMA Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM) Grant. The funding for this project will be for the design of the stream restoration and new greenway. This RFQ is only for the Environmental Report, Design, and Engineering. The City of Wilson will expect the selected architectural and engineering/consulting firm to provide the following response to services needed in conjunction with proposed stream restoration + greenway project: o Preparation of an environmental report sufficient to satisfy the requirements of for FEMA funded projects. o Detailed engineering specifications and plans for the stream restoration and greenway from the project description. City of Wilson specifications to be used when appropriate. Hominy Swamp Stream Restoration and Greenway which will include restoration of approximately 5,700 linear feet (LF) of Hominy Swamp Creek, establishing a riparian buffer along the restored stream, a significant amount of floodplain benching, construction of approximately 2,740 LF of Hominy Creek Greenway from Elizabeth Road to Tarboro Street, and replacement of the culvert under Elizabeth Road. The selected design firm shall include a proposed schedule with their submittal.
