Site work, new construction and renovation of a fire / police facility in Santee, California. Design plans call for the construction of a fire / police facility; for the renovation of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

The City of Santee, hereinafter referred to as "City", is seeking proposals from qualified firms, consultants, hereinafter referred to interchangeably, to complete all design services required for the construction of a new Fire Station (Fire Station No. 20) at the City's Operations Center located at 9534 Via Zapador, Santee, CA 92071. This fire station is Phase 1 of a 4-phase planned improvement program for the City of Santee Fire Department. In addition, and at the sole discretion of the City, the professional services agreement for the Phase 1 services may be amended to include the additional design, bid and construction services for Phases 2, 3, & 4 to provide a fleet maintenance facility, to reconstruct Fire Station No. 4 and to construct a new fire station in the northern area of the City of Santee (tentatively planned at City Hall) to meet the goals set forth by the Community Risk Assessment completed by AP Triton dated March 2023 pending funding for all Phases. The City is currently pursuing potential funding options to implement this comprehensive plan which may include State or Federal grants or potential tax measures to be approved by voters to fund all desired Phases. The purpose of including the City's option to amend the professional services agreement to include one or more additional Phase(s) is to maintain consistency of the project design, its team members and to reduce overall project cost and time necessary to complete all Phases of the proposed improvements for the Fire Department's facilities. Pending funding for the Phase 2, 3, & 4 facilities, and the City's desire to hire the selected consultant to perform work on additional Phase(s), the City and the selected consultant will negotiate final scope and fee to complete the required design services for each additional Phase over a multi-year professional services agreement which could be anticipated to extend up to a period of eight years.
