Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Fire Commissioners of Fire District No. 2, Township of Wall, for the provision of work to be done in connection with roof frame structural rehabilitation at Glendola Fire Company No. 1, 5013 Industrial Road, Farmingdale, New Jersey The work will be bid as a single contract as follows: Contract No. 1 - To furnish all labor, materials and equipment for roof frame structural rehabilitation at Glendola Fire Company No. 1, 5013 Industrial Road, Farmingdale, New Jersey, which includes all items shown on the construction plans and contained within the contract documents and specifications. The bid must be delivered to the Board of Fire Commissioners of Fire District No. 2, Township of Wall, 1612 Route 71, Wall, New Jersey If mailed, all bids must be mailed by Certified Mail to the Board of Fire Commissioners of Fire District No. 2, Township of Wall, 1612 Route 71, Wall, New Jersey 07719, and received on or before the above set forth time and date. No bid will be considered unless in writing on the form furnished. Bids may not be faxed, transmitted over the telephone or emailed. The Board of Fire Commissioners of Fire District No. 2, Township of Wall, assumes no responsibility for delays in any form of carrier, mail or delivery service causing the bid to be received untimely. All questions concerning this Notice to Bidders shall be addressed to Law Offices of Sendzik & Sendzik, P.C., via email at sendziklaw@comcast.net. Bidders must submit with the bid an "Ownership Disclosure Form" and "Non-Collision Affidavit" on the forms included in the bid package. Bidders must submit proof with the bid of registration with the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue, by submitting a copy of bidder's Business Registration Certificate. In accordance with "The Public Works Contractor Registration Act", P.L. 1999, c.238, all bidders (general contractors and his subcontractors) must be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor at the time of the submittal of the bid proposal. The successful bidder shall be required to comply with the provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1964, effective January 1, 1964. Bidders are required to comply with the Affirmative Action requirements of P.L. 1975, c.127 and regulations promulgated thereunder. Bidders shall submit with the bid a certified check, cashier's check or Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, but not in excess of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00), payable unconditionally to the Board of Fire Commissioners of Fire District No. 2. When submitting a Bid Bond, it shall contain a Power of Attorney for the full amount of the Bid Bond from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. Bidders shall submit with the bid a Certificate (Consent of Surety) with Power of Attorney for the full amount of the bid price from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey stating that it will provide said bidder with Performance and Maintenance Bonds in the full amount of the bid award. No bidder may withdraw its proposal for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after opening of proposals; all proposals being binding on all bidders for said sixty (60) day period. The Board of Fire Commissioners of Fire District No. 2, Township of Wall, reserves the right to reject any or all bids not deemed to be in the best interest of the Fire District. It is the purpose of the Notice to Bidders to summarize some of the provisions of the bid documents. Prospective bidders are cautioned not to rely solely on this Notice but to read the bid documents in their entirety.
