The project provides for the procurement and installation of pedestrian facilities, stormwater, sidewalk, driveway, curb ramp, signing, striping*** and other work, and any other incidentals necessary to complete the specified work in accordance with the Contract Plans, Contract Provisions and the Standard Specifications. The City of Longview accepts no responsibility or liability and will provide no accommodation to bidders who fail to check for addendums and submit inadequate or incorrect responses. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) requirements of 49 CFR Part 26 apply and demonstrating DBE compliance and utilization of at least 12% is a Condition of Award. All work performed on this project will be subject to the higher of the Washington State or Federal Davis Bacon prevailing wage rates. Cash, cashier's check, certified check and/or bid bond in an amount equal to at least 5% of the total bid price shall accompany all bids. The City of Longview, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. Bids must be sealed with the outside of the envelope boldly marked to indicate that it contains a sealed bid, the bid opening date, and the specific project involved. All contractors must be licensed in the State of Washington to conduct business.
