Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Kyle, Texas. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
Question Deadline 09/13/2023 Any requests for interpretation should be submitted in writing via email to Amber Schmeits at aschmeits@cityofkyle.com The City of Kyle is seeking professional services for the demolition of three (3) City owned properties located at 111 N Front Street, 103 S Front Street, and 300 W Center Street. The selected contractor will demolish all three (3) properties and leave the sites to the specifications of the City as outlined in the Scope of Work. 111 N Front St Demolition and proper disposal of commercial structures, including foundation, foundation walls, footings, awnings, pedestals, and vaults. Removal and proper disposal of HVAC units. Sidewalks and railing will be preserved. Site will be left level with existing sidewalk and driveway. Please provide an alternate proposal for the contractor to remove and preserve the granite walls and signage and transport them to a storage area designated by the city. 300 W Center Demolition and proper disposal of commercial structures, including foundation, foundation walls, footings. Removal and proper disposal of HVAC units. Curbs will be preserved. The generator will be relocated to a site as determined by the city. Site will be left at rough grade to promote positive drainage. 103 S Front Demolition and proper disposal of commercial structures, including foundation, foundation walls, footings. Removal and proper disposal of HVAC units. Septic tank will need to be pumped, disconnected, capped at both ends and filled. Contractor will leave VFW sign intact at location. Site will be left at rough grade to promote positive drainage The selected contractor will demolish all three buildings and leave the sites to the specifications of the city outlined in the scope of work. The target start date and term for the proposed services is Fall 2023 through completion of no later than 180 days after issuance of permit for work. Obtain demolition permit from City of Kyle and any other entities if required for each address. The building permit fees will be waived by the city. Contractors may be required to make a presentation of their qualifications on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, to the Mayor and City Council.
