Site work and paving for a road / highway in Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Repair and replacement of portions of asphalt trail located along Jordan Creek Trail between EP True Parkway and 60th Street, Westridge Greenway Trail between EP True Parkway and Fairway Drive, and he loop trail at Willow Springs Park. The project will include full depth on-site reclamation of the existing trail to a depth of 12" for us as a new base for a new 4" asphalt overlay. The segments of the trail are between 18 to 24 years old and showing typical signs of deterioration for it age including cracking, spalling and heaving. This project is included in the city's fiscal year 2023-2024 Capital Improvement Program. As of September 12, 2023, a contractor was selected and currently under construction. A completion timeline has not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
