As of December 6, 2023, the project has been awarded, however, a timeline for construction has not been confirmed. Project Identification: Downtown Public Restrooms for Sylva, NC The site for the work is 622 Mill Street, Sylva, NC 28779, as shown on the drawings. The site is where the historic trail depot once stood, at the northwest corner of the intersection of Mill Street and Allen Street. Contractors will be required to submit a qualification statement as well as an HUB/Minority Business Participation certification. The Town of Sylva reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The Work consists of site work and a new building. The Work in summary consists of the following: 1. A new 437 SF, four toilet, public restroom structure located on the site of a historic train depot. 2. An alternate for a Solar photovoltaic system mounted on the roof of the structure. 3. Site demolition, prep and finish work to provide for an accessible patio area for the new structure. 4. A new guard rail to protect the public from falling from the existing raised depot platform 5. Utility connections to public water and electrical services 6.
