Renovation of a mixed-use development in Victoria, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
The project is a tenant improvement of 100 square meters of previously occupied Housekeeping Services (ESS) space into an expanded pharmacy warehouse area and a packaging area for hazardous medications. This space is located in the basement of the D&T building at the Royal Jubilee Hospital. The construction area will first require demolition of the existing offices. Then we will be constructing a negative air room for packaging medications fully equipped with a Class II Type B2 biological safety cabinet and increasing the warehouse area and relocating the work stations for the technicians that work in the warehouse. Extensive scaffolding, hoarding and infection control will be required for this project as the HVAC has to travel through the building, outside and on to the roof. Some of these areas are occupied and operational 24/7. This project has many physical site challenges.
