Reference Number 0000342685 Question Acceptance Deadline 03/01/2024 03:00 PM MT Questions are submitted online No, All questions should be submitted, in writing via email, to Pat Johnson, CPPB, Senior Buyer at pjohnson@fcgov.com, Fort Collins Utilities seeks to replace the roofs on the Chlorine Building, SPT Intermediate Lift Building, and Blower Building at DWRF. More detail regarding the project is in Section 00050 of the Bid Document. The Contract Documents provide for the construction of Bid 9943 Roof Replacements at Drake Water Reclamation Facility (DWRF). The roofs to be replaced include the Chlorine Building, Blower Building, and the South Process Train (SPT) Intermediate Lift Building. More detail regarding the project is in Section 00050. Work to begin Spring 2024, weather permitting Buyer Preferences, Guidelines & Requirements General Requirements - Insurance Required - Local Service Required - Warranty Information Required Bonding Requirements Buyer Requires E-Bonding - Bid Bond 5 % No Bid may be withdrawn within a period of ninety (90) days after the date fixed for opening Bids. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, and to waive any informalities and irregularities therein. 1. Demolition: a. Remove the existing roofing and insulation down to the metal deck and haul away the debris. b. All debris must be removed from the flutes of the metal deck before the new roof can be installed. 2. Installation. In advance of any Work, the Contractor will submit full specifications and manufacturer information for the products and systems proposed for use on City buildings. Installation shall consist of: a. Install one layer of 2" isocyanurate insulation mechanically attached with screws and plates. The attachment pattern shall be per 1-90 wind uplift requirements. b. Install one layer of 1/2" Dens-Deck Prime set in two-part urethane adhesive. The attachment pattern shall be the same as the tapered isocyanuiate. c. Install a 60 mil FleeceBack TPO Roof System set in two-part urethane adhesive. The attachment pattern shall be 4" on center throughout the entire roof area. The membrane shall be 115 mil total thickness with FleeceBack. Approved manufacturers: Carlisle, Firestone, GAF, Manville d. Provide additional insulation or other roofing materials as needed to construct positive slope to roof drains (2% slope (1/4"/ft)) e. Flash all walls and curbs with 60 mil FleeceBack TPO set in urethane adhesive. f. Install a termination bar at the top of the flashing at all wall locations. g. Install 24-gauge Stainless Steel Counter flashing over the top of the termination bar. h. All curbs shall be flashed with 24-gauge Stainless Steel Slip Flashing. i. Supply and install walkway pads. Locations to be determined by the owner. j. Provide and install new 24-gauge Stainless Steel vent stacks. k. Provide and install new cast iron drain screens at all roof drain locations. l. Material specifications are provided in Attachment B (Section 075303-Single Ply RoofingFully Adhered TPO 60 mil Reinforced). 3. Coordination: a. Owner will perform installation and plumbing of new roof drains (if applicable). Coordination will be needed with Owner during installation. b. DWRF project manager will coordinate the HVAC replacement at the Chlorine Building prior to installing the new roof.
