Renovation of a municipal facility in Berkeley, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Jacob's Hall, also known as the EBU-1 building at UC San Diego La Jolla Campus is an eight-story building constructed in 1988. The facility houses approximately 140,000 ASF consisting of classrooms, labs, and offices for the Engineering Department. This project replaces three air handling units that have reached the end of their useful life. The units to be replaced are as follows: AH-17 14,100 CFM located on the fourth floor AH-18 21,300 CFM located on the fifth floor AH-19 9,800 CFM located on the fifth floor Estimated project duration is three hundred sixty-five (365) calendar days. Only prequalified bidders will be allowed to submit a Bid on this project. Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Lump Sum Base Bid, excluding alternates, shall accompany each Bid. The successful Bidder and its subcontractors will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents and to pay prevailing wage at the location of the work. Estimated construction cost: $3,000,000
