Site work for a water / sewer project in New Castle, Delaware. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The County reserves the right to reject all bids . Sealed bids are invited for the construction of 14-inch and 18-inch diameter wastewater force mains, 16-inch and 20-inch diameter wastewater force mains via horizontal drilling, 30-inch and 34-inch steel casing pipes via jacking and boring, air valve manholes, force main junction box, appurtenances and related work in accordance with the project plans and specifications. The work is located within public rights-of-way and on various private properties in Middletown, New Castle County, Delaware. Work includes, but is not limited to, construction of two new parallel sanitary sewer force mains (approximately 18,900 linear feet each), including a combination of 10-inch and 16-inch PVC built in a shared trench, plus 12-inch and 18-inch HDPE installed by horizontal directional drilling. The proposed dual force mains will be constructed by a combination of open cut and cover, bore and jack installation, and 12-inch and 18-inch HDPE horizontal directional drilling installation at various locations indicated on the plans. All construction shall be performed as to minimize impacts to traffic of Choptank Road, Churchtown Road, Summit Bridge Road, Boyds Corner Road and Whispering Woods Road. The project is located within public rights-of-way and on various private properties in Middletown, New Castle County, Delaware.
