Renovation of a water / sewer project in Columbus, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The Division of Water is posting to have repairs performed on a roofing system of 3,350 square feet. The existing roofing system is a 1/4 :12" slope, EPDM over a flexible core concrete roof deck. The roofing system is approximately 12 feet above ground elevation. Testing the existing materials for hazardous materials content before work is to commence is required. Wipe down the perimeter edge (fascia) metal seams with a non-toxic cleaner. Seal vertical seams with roofing adhesive aluminum in color. Clear and clean roof scrubbing the seams and flashing edges with a non-toxic cleaner. Allow to dry. Remove old sealant on flashing and penetrations and install new roofing adhesive Apply a 4-6" adhesive seam tape to all seams and flashing approved for use on EPDM roofing systems to reinforce seams and penetrations. Apply to all field and flashing seams. Apply an 8-10" wide application of fluid applied membrane material over seam tape, on all field and flashing seams. Work must be performed in a timely manner as to be minimal disturbance to operations and follow specifications as explained.
