The scope of work will generally consist of sampling & testing of PCC concrete, taking soils samples, conducting in-place relative density test for base, subbase, subgrade soils and asphalt concrete pavements. The Consultant is expected to provide detailed daily field reports of construction activities/observations with labeled photographs and results of material testing. Monthly progress reports and the necessary equipment to perform the observation and testing shall be provided. All soils testing shall be conducted in accordance with ASTM Standards. All concrete testing shall be conducted in accordance with ASTM and/or ACI Standards. Caltrans test methods may be required upon request. The scopes of services, described herein, are not intended to be comprehensive nor exclusive; they are merely set forth as a general outline of the work that is expected. Proof that laboratory technicians are certified by ACI, ICC, NICET or AASHTO to perform the respective test methods utilized. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
