GREAT OPPORTUNITIES FOR LOCAL CONTRACTORS LAC DU FLAMBEAU BAND OF LAKE SUPERIOR CHIPPEWA INDIANS REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR GENERAL CONTRACTOR SERVICES FOR HOME REPAIRS AND IMPROVEMENTS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians will receive sealed proposals from independent contractors for the provision of home repair, renovation and improvement services for eligible elderly and disabled Tribal members, to address safety issues and Building Code violations and enable the elder and/or disabled homeowners to remain independent and live safely and comfortably in their homes. All work performed will be monitored by the Lac du Flambeau Aging and Long Term Care Program and the Lac du Flambeau Tribal Building Inspector. It is anticipated that multiple successful bidders (Contractors) will be selected. Each Contractor must be insured and authorized to conduct business in the State of Wisconsin, with proven experience in construction, demolition and remodeling, and demonstrated ability to meet the specific requirements set forth in the RFP. This project will provide excellent opportunities for local contractors to work year-around, make meaningful differences in the lives of elderly and vulnerable individuals, build resumes, and make beneficial connections.
