Reference Number 0000329508 The Douglas County Board of Commissioners (County) is seeking sealed proposals from qualified firms to provide an update to the Highway 92 Corridor Livable Centers Initiative Study (LCI). The LCI Program seeks to increase the use of alternatives to driving alone by developing transportation projects and other programs to improve accessibility, expand mixeduses, utilize transit and support further development in the study area. Evaluation of the existing structure and development of likely scenarios should produce recommendations for future investment that support ARC's Livable Centers Initiative Program. Improving safety and walkability will result in increases of the alternatives to driving alone. The focus area of the Highway 92 Corridor is between Interstate 20 and Lee Road, which is approximately 3 miles in length. This corridor is composed of a portion of the municipality of Douglasville, various communities, and commercial businesses. Douglas County completed a Highway 92 Corridor Livable Centers Initiative update in 2007. This document, along with other county plans are the foundation of the 2024 Highway 92 Corridor Livable Centers Initiative update.
