Demolition, site work and addition to a detention facility in Madison, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the addition of a 149,000-square-foot, six-story above grade detention facility; for the demolition of a detention facility; and for site work for a detention facility.
As of April 26th, 2024, demolition is confirmed underway, and vertical construction will commence after. Dane County is inviting Bids for construction services to construct an approximate 149,000 square foot, 6 story above grade jail addition with basement and sub-basements to the existing Dane County Public Safety Building (PSB) and remodel portions of the existing approximately 200,000 square foot PSB. Question Submission Deadline:November 3, 2023, 5:00pm Requests for Information (RFIs) during bidding shall be emailed to Steve Richards, Dane County Project Manager: richards.steve@countyofdane.com
