The City is seeking an Interim Water Transmission Supervisor to be in direct responsible charge of the City's Water Distribution System. The current Water Transmission Supervisor will be retiring in early 2024. The City would like to have an Interim Water Transmission Supervisor in place prior to the current Supervisor's retirement and remain in this position until the City is able to fill the vacant position. The Licensed Operator in Direct Responsible Charge will manage the Water Transmission Department as well as the entire water distribution system within the City. The City provides potable water purchased from a wholesaler with the ability to supplement with groundwater from active and standby wells in the event of a reduction in purchased water or emergencies. The Water Distribution System consists of seven (7) reservoirs, seven (7) booster stations, one (1) active well, seven (7) standby wells, six (6) regulator stations, and over 300 miles of water mains. The Water Transmission Department is a part of Utilities Water Gas Wastewater Operations and is specifically designated to operate, maintain, and manage the water distribution system. This designated team consists of one (1) Utilities Supervisor, two (2) Senior Water System Operators, and four (4) Water System Operator I/II. The City is seeking a LODR to act as the Interim Utilities Supervisor for this Water Transmission Department. The LODR will report to the Utilities WGW Operations Manager, Utilities WGW Operations and Engineering Assistant Director, and the Utilities Director. The City reserves the right to: Make the selection based on its sole discretion; Reject any and all proposals; Issue subsequent Requests for Proposals; Postpone opening for its own convenience; Remedy technical errors in the Request for Proposals process; Approve or disapprove the use of particular subconsultants; Negotiate with any, all or none of the Proposers; Accept other than the lowest offer; Waive informalities and irregularities in the Proposals and/or Enter into an agreement with another Proposer in the event the originally selected Proposer defaults or fails to execute an agreement with the City.
