Site work for a water / sewer project in Norfolk, Virginia. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Provide funds to improve the drainage in the Overbrook/Coleman Place area. This project will install storm water collection and conveyance systems throughout the neighborhood to manage 10-year storm events and better mitigate flooding issues in the roadway caused by precipitation flooding. This area was developed when Coleman Place was within Norfolk County and has rudimentary drainage conveyance systems. The area includes Coleman Place, East Coleman Place and Overbrook. Phase 1A is under construction. Phase 1B - Site plan review comments being addressed United States Army Corps of Engineers permit approved. Phase 2 - Contract amendment being processed to begin design efforts. Project is in City of Norfolk Capital Improvement Plan FY2025 - 2029. As of October 4, 2024, project is funded for FY2028-2029. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
