Site work, paving, new construction and addition to a bridge / tunnel in Richmond, Virginia. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Provide funding for design and construction of a replacement bridge for the current Arthur Ashe Boulevard over CSX Transportation (CSXT) Railroad Bridge. The proposed bridge will span two existing CSXT railway lines and two proposed tracks: one for high-speed passenger rail and the other for a freight line. Project is in the FY2024-2028 Capital Improvement Plan for the city. As of February 9, 2024, project is planned for FY2025-2028. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
