The Town of Pincher Creek’s (the Town) Water Treatment Plant (WTP) provides drinking water to the water distribution system in the Town. Potable water is pumped to the Town’s water distribution system using two sets of vertical turbine pumps. The first set consists of two pumps operating at low head. The second set includes three pumps installed in 1992, operating at high head and that need to be replaced. The Town intends to carry out a portion of the improvement works inside the WTP. The scope for the improvement works includes the following: 1. All Permitting, Bonds, Warranties required for the project. 2. Removal of the existing three vertical turbine pumps operating at high head. 3. Supply and install new three vertical turbine pumps. 4. Removal of existing fluoride dosing pump and replace with identical pump in the same place. 5. Removal of existing two filter turbidimeters and replace with identical turbidimeters in the same place. 6. Replace the existing Pressure Relief Valve and installation of a new Pressure Transmitter on the pump station main header. 7. The electrical and controls for the new three pumps, for the fluoride dosing pump and for the turbidimeters will be installed and re-connected to the electrical and controls for the WTP building. The electrical and controls connections will be completed by the Town’s electrical contractor “Candu Automation and Control Solutions ltd”. The Contractor will be responsible for any coordination with Candu Automation and Control Solutions and will carry out the required site coordinate to complete the new electrical/programming work in parallel with the installation of the new pumps and equipment. 8. Complete all the required structural and piping work for the installation of the described works above. 9. Commissioning of the installed works under the project.
