The project consists of: realignment and reconstruction of the existing intersection along Izaak Walton Road, including grading, concrete paving (approximately 2,600 square yards), new lighting, guardrail, culvert replacement, and seeding. Proposals will be taken for said construction work described above by unit prices, as an aggregate bid for the entire project. All proposals for said construction work must be made on blanks furnished by the engineer and must be accompanied by bid security of not less than 5% of the amount bid. Bid security to be made payable to the city of Seward as liquidated damages in case the bid is accepted and the bidder neglects or refuses, to enter into contract and furnish bond in accordance herewith. No bidder may withdraw the submitted proposal for a period of forty-five (45) days after the date set for the opening of bids. The city of Seward reserves the right to reject any or all bids received and to waive informalities.
