Deadline for RFQ questions 10/2/2023 Cal Poly is seeking interested and qualified Prefabrication firms who wish to provide design and construction services for on campus University Housing. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Complete prefabrication design and construction services through Program Definition, Project Validation and Post Validation phases (programming, schematic design, design development, construction document, construction). Consultant services are intended to begin October 2023. The first phase of projects are anticipated to start construction as soon as Summer 2024. California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly, University) is a 4-year accredited university founded in 1901. Originally a vocational and technical school, Cal Poly SLO has evolved into a renowned educational institution, known the world over as the school of learn by doing. University Housing currently provides campus housing, services and community programming for approximately 8,000 student residents. Cal Poly is requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from interested qualified Prefabricators (Respondents) to provide prefabrication design and construction services for a new housing program. The University and Design-Build Team intend to shortlist firms for the entirety of the program. This program is publicly financed and subject to prevailing wage and California s Public Work Laws (Cal. Lab. Code 1720 et seq.). Prospective Prefabricators are hereby notified of their obligation to become familiar with the requirements of the Public Works Law, including, but not limited to, those relating to paying prevailing wages, posting certain notices, and furnishing certain records to the Department of Industrial Relations on request.
