Site work and renovation of a swimming pool in Millburn, New Jersey. Design plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool; and for site work for a swimming pool.
As of June 6, 2024, an architect has been selected for the project. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. Construction is estimated to take place in September of 2024. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Township of Millburn is soliciting qualifications for engineering services relating to resurfacing of the Main Pool and Wading Pool at the Millburn Municipal Pool Complex located in Gero Park. Scope of Services: Main Pool & Wading Pool Resurfacing Preparation of plans and specifications for contractor bidding for pool resurfacing and crack repair Respond to contract requests during bid phase Review submitted bids and recommendation of award to Township Attendance of pre-construction meeting with selected contractor and Township staff Part-time inspection during contractor work Review of contractor invoicing and recommendation to Township for payment Preparation of final punch list and/or closeout activities ADA-Compliant Ramp for Main Pool The Main Pool currently utilizes an ADA-Compliant Entry Lift. Assess the feasibility of adding an ADA Compliant Entry Ramp for the Main Pool Provide options for adding a permanent ramp or options for alternatives Pending feasibility of adding a permanent ramp, this would be included as an alternate bid in the bid specifications for the pool resurfacing project The sealed submittal package must be clearly marked with the title of the RFQ being submitted and the name of the responding firm, addressed to the Director of Recreation & Parks. The original RFQ response shall be marked to distinguish it from the one (1) copy. Only responses received prior to or on the submission date and time will be considered. Respondents should provide statement of hourly rates, as well as past experience in similar projects of this nature. Upon award of contract, a written proposal outlining all services and related costs will then be requested, based on meetings with the outside professionals and site inspection. Respondents shall comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17-27. At the time of response to the RFQ, the Respondent must be registered under the New Jersey Business Registration Act. All RFQ responses will be reviewed by an evaluation team. The most advantageous responses, based on price and other factors, as determined by a standard evaluation criteria, will then be given the opportunity to respond to an RFP.
