The Township of Millburn is seeking proposals from qualified professional engineering firms to provide engineering design services, as well as construction management and inspection services for the Millburn 2024 Municipal Resurfacing and Roadway Improvement Program. The 2024 Program includes resurfacing and roadway improvements on Alan Dr., Brookhaven Way, Dogwood Dr., Church St., Colonial Way, Deerfield Rd., Delbarton Dr., Lake Rd., Mechanic St., Ocean St., Orchard St., Featherbed Lane, Merrywood Lane, Oakview Terrace, and Woodfield Drive. The project also includes curb replacement, inlet repairs, and replacement of cast sewer structures on Fairfield Dr. and Martindale Rd. (Milling and paving of those roads is By Others.) The selected engineering firm will prepare plans and specifications complete and of sufficient detail, such that they could be advertised for public bidding and so that an accurate construction proposal could be obtained by the Township. The selected firm will also participate in evaluation of bids, contract administration, construction inspection, review of contractor payment applications, and participate in negotiation of change orders, as required. This project is scheduled for an aggressive timeline with a desired construction bid date no later than April 24, 2024. Prospective respondents should be capable of meeting this timeline.
