Reference Number 0000256036 Question Acceptance Deadline 2023/09/27 01:00:00 PM CDT Bid Intent Deadline 2023/10/03 01:00:00 PM CDT Pricing Lump sum Term: 2024/01/01 01:00:00 AM EST - 2027/12/31 01:00:00 AM EST 1. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, logistics, security, vehicles, and personnel necessary to perform Power Sweeping and Parking Lot Painting Services as requested by MBLL. Power Sweeping i. Power Sweeping and debris removal services are required for various MBLL properties' parking lots and parkades. Services are to include cleaning of parking areas, driveways, sidewalks, walkways and islands, and multiple levels of parkade including ramps as required. ii. The Contractor shall sweep around poles, light standards, bus shelters, around and under benches, and in front of buildings to provide a high level of cleanliness. iii. Manual sweeping may be required for areas which a mechanical machine may not be accessible. iv. Collection and disposal of all waste products is the sole responsibility of the contractor and shall not be left overnight nor disposed of using MBLL facilities. Parking Lot Painting i. Parking lot painting is to be applied to a clean surface during moderate weather conditions. ii. The Contractor will be responsible for ensuring that all surfaces are properly prepared (ie., free of debris) according to the accepted industry standards and paint manufacturer specifications. iii. Regular parking stalls, hash lines, and pedestrian crosswalks are to be painted with 4 inches wide lines in white or yellow paint, as applicable. iv. Handicap parking stall symbols are to be painted blue and white, unless otherwise directed by MBLL. v. Expectant mothers stall symbols are to be painted pink and white, unless otherwise directed by MBLL. vi. Cover-up/Removal of existing lines or symbols are to be painted black/grey to match asphalt/cement. vii. All paint is to be industry standard traffic control paint and follow either City of Winnipeg or Province of Manitoba standards. viii. Curbs, speed bumps, and lamp post bases are to be refreshed with paint colours to match existing, unless otherwise directed by MBLL. ix. All Stall Symbols, Letters and/or Directional Arrows must be stenciled and shall not be painted freehand. x. All words stenciled in paint shall be written bilingual, in French and English. Locations 1. McPhillips Station Casino a. West Lot consists of approximately: 830 regular stalls, all directional arrows, lamp posts, curbs, and hash lines. b. North Lot consists of approximately: 561 regular stalls, all directional arrows, lamp posts, curbs, and - hash lines. c. Staff Lot - consists of approximately: 238 regular stalls, 2 handicap stalls, all directional arrows, lamp posts, curbs, and hash lines. d. East Lot & Casino Surroundings - consists of approximately: 32 handicap stalls, all directional arrows, lamp posts, curbs, and hash lines. e. Parkade - consists of approximately: 903 regular stalls over 3 levels, all directional arrows, lamp posts, curbs, and hash lines. 2. Central Services - consists of approximately: 115 regular stalls, 2 handicap stalls, all directional arrows, lamp posts, curb, and hash lines. 3. Hargrave & Ellice Liquor Mart (Store 6) - consists of approximately: 11 regular stalls, 1 handicap stall, curb, and hash lines. 4. Neepawa Liquor Mart (Store 4) - consists of approximately: 12 regular stalls, 1 handicap stall, curb, and hash lines. 5. Virden Liquor Mart (Store 24) - consists of approximately: 7 regular stalls, 1 handicap stalls, 1 curb, and hash lines. 6. Pine Falls Liquor Mart (Store 34) - consists of approximately: 10 regular stalls, 1 handicap stall, 3 directional arrows, curb, and hash lines. 7. Beausejour Liquor Mart (Store 55) - consists of approximately: 11 regular stalls, 1 handicap stall, curb, and hash lines. INSURANCE a. The Contractor shall maintain throughout the term of each awarded contract: i. Commercial general liability insurance covering all operations of the Contractor with minimum coverage limits of $5,000,000, including coverage for non-owned automobiles. Said policy shall name MBLL as additional insured. ii. Automobile public liability and property damage liability insurance with minimum coverage limits of $5,000,000 on all vehicles owned/operated by the Contractor. iii. The Contractor, its employees, subcontractors, and those whom the Contractor is responsible are covered by workers' compensation insurance as required under "The Workers Compensation Act (Manitoba). iv. Employers' Liability Insurance (for employees not covered under the Workers' Compensation Act or similar legislation) shall be required with a limit of not less than $5,000,000 per occurrence Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
