The work includes timber pile repairs, timber abutment wall replacement, structural concrete repair, removal and replacement of precast concrete bridge panels, metal railing repair, and approach slabs on West Willow Street. The work should be completed within 60 contract days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond payable to the City of Scott, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid plus additive alternates. Bidders must submit a Corporate Resolution or Certificate of Authority authorizing the person signing the bid. Bids cannot be withdrawn for at least forty-five (45) days after the scheduled bid opening. The successful contractor will be required to execute performance and labor and material payment bonds in the full amount of the contract. Contractors or contracting firms submitting bids for work besides Hazardous Materials, shall be properly licensed for any work in the amount of $50,000.00 or more. All such bidders shall certify that they are licensed contractors under Chapter 24 of Title 37 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 and show their license number on the front of the sealed envelope in which their bid is enclosed.
