Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Kansas City, Missouri. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

All bids shall be submitted in the form of (sealed bids). The Bid Envelope must contain all required submissions to be included with the Bid. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the Bid is opened. Bid security shall likewise continue for the same ninety (90) days unless earlier released by the City. The successful Bidder shall comply with all Bidding and contract requirements. Bids, once opened and read, may not be withdrawn without forfeiture of the Bid security. All Bids shall be addressed to Director, Parks and Recreation, shall state on the outside of the sealed Bid envelope "Bid Enclosed", title and Project number, and shall be deposited in the locked Bid box. All Bids must comply with the Bidding Requirements of Kansas City, Missouri (OWNER). The proposed work includes: This project consists of the construction of approximately one-half mile of 10-foot wide, concrete, shared-use bicycle and walking trail near the Blue River Levee from E. 95th Street to Prospect Avenue in the City's 5th Council District. This trail will connect to the existing Blue River Trail at E.95th Street and travel north along the Blue River to meet up with Prospect Avenue north of the Prospect Avenue Bridge that crosses the Blue River. All labor used in the construction of this public improvement shall be paid a wage no less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages of work of a similar character in this locality as established by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations (Federal Wage Rate), or state wage rate, whichever is higher. The Kansas City, Missouri (OWNER) hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, creed, sex, age, ancestry, or national origin in consideration for an award." All bidders must be on MoDOT's Qualified Contractor List per Section 102.2 from the current version of the Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction, including all revisions. The contractor questionnaire must be on file 7 days prior to bid opening. Contractors and sub-contractors who sign a contract to work on public works project provide a 10-Hour OSHA construction safety program, or similar program approved by the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, to be completed by their on-site employees within sixty (60) days of beginning work on the construction project. A bid bond in the amount of 5% shall be submitted with each proposal. The Kansas City, Missouri (OWNER) reserves the right to reject any or all bids. No 2nd tier subcontracting will be allowed on this project.
