The City of Mountain Brook, Alabama ("City") invites interested contractors to submit sealed bids to the above noted address for the award of a three-year unit price contract to pave streets in the City and perform related operations related (the "Work" or "Project"). This contract will apply to street cut and repair operations that the City commences after October 1, 2023. Each bidder is responsible for mailing or delivering its bid so that it will be actually received at the above address and location at or before the time of the specified bid opening; bids received after that time will not be considered. Bids must be submitted by the time and date specified above, at which time those bids will be publicly opened and read as soon thereafter as practicable. To be considered for the award of the contract on this Work, an interested contractor must complete and return the Contractor's Bid Response Form and provide other information requested in the Project Manual. Also, the successful contractor must possess the minimum experience and qualifications to perform the Work as specified in those materials. Each bidder is required to furnish a $10,000 bid , cashier's check or other similar type of bid security with its Bid to secure its intent to perform the Work if it receives the award. Further, when selected, the successful contractor must provide a Performance in the amount of its annual contract price and a Labor & Materials in the amount of half that price. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive formalities related to submitted bids.
