Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Mountain Brk, Alabama. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The project will consist of sidewalk construction of approximately 3500' on Montclair Road and Shannon Lane. The primary work items include sidewalks, curb & gutter, driveways, retaining walls, and a signalized pedestrian crossing. The engineer's estimated cost is $1,145,000. All bidders must be licensed by the State of Alabama Licensing Board of General Contractors, as required by Chap 8 of Title 34 of the Code of Alabama, 1975, as amended. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope. A bid bond is required. The City of Mountain Brook reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding process. The award will be made to a responsive contractor that meets minimum qualifications and submits the lowest responsible bid. The City reserves the right to hold the bids for a period of 60 days after receiving the bids until notice of award.
